our hopes and expectations/black holes and revelations

yesterday went to Marina Square with Theo, Biran, Simin, Kuku and Maoqiang. met them at City Hall MRT, luckily didnt go wrong place like last time Sports Meet. simin was waiting for us at Marina Square instead. then ciyi keep sniggering at my sandals la! okay i know that they are old and are tearing at some places...but they have been with me for like one third of my life and have gone like,almost everywhere(except school, you morons) with me... awww.... so chew on that, sickening Mr Pinkie Shirtie.

then we walked via City Link to Marina Square.along the way we kept stopping at shoe shops 'cos Mrs Ababa needed brown shoes to go along with the brown skirt she is wearing today for Biran's birthday party thing. but then all the shoes were either too pointy or too high. so when we reached Marina Square, a)it was 3:00 plus b)Theodora still lacked brown shoes c)Simin was going to smack Theo for making her wait like 1 hour alone.

our original plan was to watch a movie there... but then in the end decided to just slack around M.S. so sad! ahaha. so jonathan, maoqiang and simin went off to the arcade to go shoot some pathetic virtual thingolingos and then biran and i dragged a screaming and kicking theodora to go buy brown shoes. well,okay, she wasnt really screaming and kicking. but i had to grab her by the slingbag to prevent her from going into arcade-land. Biran was being Ms Shopoholic and she bought a pair of shoes within 15 minutes. maddening.

we went though lots and lots of shoes... finally we found a pair that really suited Mrs I-Need-Brown-Shoes well. hahaha! cute as a button - just like her. well, it had several buttons sewed onto the front part of it and it wasnt high heeled. the only glitch was that it was $49.90 and so Theo (very much against Biran's and my wishes...) went all protesty and said we had to go to other shops before she decided anything. so off we went to a last store. there, i couldnt resist temptation and bought some black heels. i suppose that the fact it cost just $29.90 helped. biran helped herself to a second pair. groovier looking than her first pair and she sorta regretted buying the first. halfway theodora got sorta sick of shoes and shoes and ran out of the shop and we had to hurry her back and meet up with the others. she had to have a reviving but expensive scoop of icecream before she stopped being so ill-looking.

then we all went to pizzahut.biran and i changed into our heels while we were waiting for seats. anyway they all ate and i just had some pepsi...but expensive pepsi it was. two bucks they charged me for just one glass, and thats without GST. erggurs. after we paid up we went shopping around...but we didnt buy anything. i had to walk around in high-heels. i think there was something wrong with the size or something. they were a little loose at the back and i felt like i was going to topple off any moment. but i didnt. the fact that on those shoes i was as tall as biran (who is usually much taller than me...and also she was wearing heels,too) has to mean something right?

then we all went back to the arcade, where lots of mobstery guys(sometimes accompanied by their guffawing ah lians) were hanging around playing pool or arcade games. duh. they all played some, but i didnt cos my mom and sister were meeting me for dinner soon.

ha! soon, my foot. they only found a parking lot and met me at sixish. so i said farewell my little mates, and went off. they were going back to citylink anyway, 'cos theo decided to buy the first pair of shoes she tried on. she asked if i remembered them.'No,'I said. we have been through enough shoes to last me some decades or so, and i couldnt quite remember.

my mother,sister and i had dinner at Spageddies. then we went to Raffles City, to the Robinsons' there. 'cos my sister was going to buy a lipstick from Chanel. you know the seductive advertisement they keep playing on TV? the nice pink lippie that a blond girl applies onto her mouth and they say sexily,'Rouge Allure, Chanel'? yeah. that one. it cost $33.

then we walked to the Esplanade (my mother parked her car there.ahha.) through City Link. along the way we stopped at Giordano and she bought me some new jeans and a denim jacket. great, something to wear to Europe.

so today, i am supposed to meet Celeste and Theodora at the Broadrick bus stop at twoish. and then my mother will drive us to Biran's house. lovely...
